BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 30. Kyrgyzstan imported 61,131 motorcycles from January through August 2023, which was 12 times higher than in the same period of 2022 (5,053 motorcycles), Trend reports.
Data from the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan shows that the value of the imports amounted to $4.805 million, increasing 4.8 times compared to the same period in 2022 ($990,300).

Of these main suppliers, in August, motorcycles were imported from China, Japan, Lithuania, and Russia, while there was no import from Uzbekistan and Pakistan. In total, Kyrgyzstan imported 9,443 motorcycles in August.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $9.407 billion from January through August 2023, which is an increase of 27.3 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Exports amounted to $1.85 billion, increasing 46.7 percent year-on-year. Imports reached $7.556 billion, growing by 23.3 percent compared to the same months in 2022.
