BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 7. Kyrgyzstan imported 59,740 motorcycles from China from January through August 2023, which is an increase of 13 times compared to the same period in 2022 when only 4,532 motorcycles were imported, Trend reports.
Data from the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reveals that the total value of these imports amounted to $2.666 million, which is 3.7 times higher than the figure for the same period in 2022 ($706,100).
China served as the primary supplier of motorcycles to Kyrgyzstan during this reporting period. Additionally, 296 motorcycles were imported from Uzbekistan, costing $135,700, 270 motorcycles came from Pakistan with a value of $33,900, and 230 motorcycles were sourced from Japan, amounting to $199,100.
Furthermore, an additional 136 motorcycles were imported from Lithuania, and 135 from Russia.
In total, Kyrgyzstan imported 61,131 motorcycles from January through August 2023, which is 12 times more than in the same period in 2022 (5,053 motorcycles).
The total value of these imports reached $4.805 million, which is 4.8 times higher than the amount for the same period in 2022 ($990,300).
