BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 31. Non-oil exports through Bileh Savar Border Terminal in Ardabil Province, located in northwestern Iran, increased 46 percent during the nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through December 20, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through December 21, 2023), Director General of the Road and Transportation Department of Iran's Ardabil Province Kalimollah Vosughi told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, Iran's non-oil exports through the Bileh Savar border terminal amounted to 409,000 tons during nine months. The products were transported by 27,100 trucks.
Vosughi noted that fruits and vegetables, potatoes, salt, rebar and profiles, construction materials, etc. were mainly exported via Bileh Savar border terminal during the nine months.
He added that during the mentioned period, 28,200 tons of products were imported through Bileh Savar border terminal. The import of products increased by 28 percent compared to the same period last year. The products were transported by 1,370 trucks.
Iran's Bileh Savar border terminal is located on the border with the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Iran's exports of non-oil products amounted to 116 million tons worth $43.1 billion during nine months of the current Iranian year. Iran's exports of non-oil products increased by 18 percent in value and 13.8 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.
To note, Iran's imports of non-oil products totaled 27.9 million tons worth about $50.9 billion during the nine months. Iran's imports of non-oil products increased by 5 percent in value terms and decreased by 3.16 percent in weight over the nine months compared to the same period last year.
