BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 26. The export of non-oil products via the customs of Ardabil province in northwestern Iran increased 68 percent in value during nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through December 20, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through December 21, 2023), the director general of Iran's Ardabil province customs office Imran Ahmadi told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, $146 million worth of non-oil products were exported via Ardabil Province Customs during the nine months.
Ahmadi noted that mainly agricultural products and construction materials were exported through provincial customs during the nine months. Meanwhile, 33,000 tons of potatoes worth $9 million were exported to Azerbaijan and Russia.
He emphasized that during the nine months, $170 million worth of products were imported via provincial customs. The product imports increased by 43 percent compared to the same period last year.
Iran's exports of non-oil products reached 116 million tons worth $43.1 billion during nine months of the current Iranian year. Iran's exports of non-oil products grew by 18 percent in value and 13.8 percent in weight during the nine months of the current year compared to the same period last year.
To note, Iran's imports of non-oil products stood at 27.9 million tons valued at about $50.9 billion. Iran's imports of non-oil products increased by 5 percent in value and dropped by 3.16 percent in weight during nine months compared to last year.
