BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 27. Iranian Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province's export volume in the past ten months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through January 19, 2025) grew by 71 percent in value and 3.62 percent in weight compared to the same period last year (from March 21, 2023, through January 20, 2024), Trend reports.

Head of the province's customs department Abdulkarim Bayati shared the update with local media.

Speaking to reporters, Bayati said that 15,500 tons of goods, valued at $504,000, were exported from the province during the reporting period.

Bayati further explained that the main products exported include cement, medicinal plant extracts, fruits, and other goods during the ten months. The exports primarily went to countries such as Germany, Türkiye, Switzerland, Afghanistan, and Azerbaijan.

"The province's customs revenue during this period reached 135 billion rials (about $228,000), marking a significant increase of 264 percent compared to last year," Bayati added.

Notably, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad's strategic location near Iran's southern ports makes it an ideal hub for increasing non-oil exports. The province also lies along the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), providing enhanced access to trade and transportation.
