ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 20. Jordan and Kazakhstan are focused on expanding and strengthening their investment cooperation during the visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Jordan, Trend reports.
As part of the visit, the chairman of the board of Kazakhstan's
Samruk-Kazyna Investment Fund, Nurlan Zhakupov, met with Jordan’s
Minister of Investment, Muthana Gharaybeh.
The sides discussed promising areas for cooperation. Zhakupov noted
that the investment portfolio of the group includes 130 projects
worth more than $100 billion.
Jordan’s Ministry of Investment is responsible for attracting and managing foreign investments in the country and plays a key role in implementing investment policies.
To note,on February 18-19, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, where King Abdullah II of Jordan personally received the Kazakh leader and held talks with him. During the visit, several documents and agreements were signed in the fields of nuclear energy, industry, and more.
