BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 27. The National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan (NEGK) plans to build six new substations across the country in 2025, Trend reports.
The works will be financed through the company's own funds. According to the capital construction plan, the following substations will be built: The second phase of the 110/10 kV "Altyn-Kazyk" substation in Bishkek; the 110/35/10 kV "Dacha" substation in the Jalal-Abad region; the 110/35/10 kV "Promyshlennaya" substation in the Batken region; the 110/35/10 kV "Kur-Terek" substation in the Naryn region; the 35/10 kV "Taldy-Suu" substation in the Naryn region; and the 35 kV "Abshir" substation in the Osh region.
Additionally, there are plans to replace old wooden poles with concrete ones. Outdated power lines will also be modernized: 178 kilometers of 10 kV lines and 410 kilometers of 0.4 kV lines will be upgraded with the installation of modern self-supporting insulated cables.
