BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. Azerbaijan exported over 17.6 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products, amounting to a value exceeding $11 billion from January through September 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that the leading importers of Azerbaijani oil for the reporting period were led by Italy, importing 6.5 million tons valued at over $4.1 billion, followed by Israel with 2.3 million tons worth $1.4 billion, and the Czech Republic with 1.2 million tons with a value of more than $790 million.

Azerbaijan's oil is transported to neighboring countries and global markets through three pipelines: Baku-Novorossiysk, Baku-Supsa, and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC). Currently, transportation via the Baku-Supsa pipeline is temporarily suspended.
Furthermore, oil is exported by rail to terminals in Batumi and Kulevi (Georgia).
