BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 29. The International Association of TITR considers the implementation of the concept of “5C” - “company, customers, competitors, collaborators (staff), and climate” within the Middle Corridor project to be successful, the Secretary General of the Association Gaidar Abdikerimov told Kazakh media, Trend reports.
“The ‘5C’ concept, which is followed by the participants of TITR, will make it possible to achieve high speed of cargo delivery at a competitive price, taking into account modern environmental requirements and with the involvement of private business,” he noted.
According to Abdikerimov, more than half of investments in the development of TITR are provided by the private sector, and it is necessary to stimulate it more through the reflection of realities in the legal framework of the countries participating in TITR.
The General Secretary of TITR reminded that the participants in the Middle Corridor are currently 11 states and 25 transport and logistics companies.
“Currently, we are actively developing containerized cargo transportation on the TITR. Thus, by the beginning of August 2024, there is already a 20-fold increase in container block trains on the TITR route compared to the data for the summer of 2023,” Abdikerimov pointed out.
He stated that a total of 2.56 million tons of cargo passed through the TMITR during the 7 months of 2024, which is 63 percent more than the same period of 2023.
However, about 2.76 million tons of cargo were transported along the Middle Corridor in 2023 (65 percent growth by 2022) and 1.7 million tons in 2022.
“There has been a transformation in freight delivery logistics over the last two to three years. TITR is gaining momentum,” the general secretary of TITR emphasized.
Abdikerimov said that all the participants of the Middle Corridor have strengthened their interaction, and significant progress is expected this year.
To note, TITR has been developing since 2014, but specifically in the last two or three years actively due to the new geopolitical realities.
