BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, May 7. Kyrgyzstan imported 17,201 tons of petroleum coke and bitumen in January–February 2025, which is over three times more than the 4,994 tons exported during the same period in 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee shows that the import value reached $6.026 million, which is 4.7 times more than the $1.2 million recorded from January through February 2024.
Of the total volume, 14,813 tons were imported from Kazakhstan for $5.420 million, 2,315 tons from Russia for $575,531, and 73.3 tons from Uzbekistan for $30,000.
Overall, Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $2.07 billion in the first two months of 2025, marking a 13.2 percent decline compared to the same period in 2024. Exports totaled $314.4 million (down 4.7 percent), while imports dropped by 14.6 percent to $1.7 billion.
