TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 31. The US-based CalCity Industrial Park company is currently implementing a $90 million investment project in Uzbekistan's Karakalpakstan, Trend reports.

The news follows a meeting between a delegation of the US CalCity Industrial Park company headed by its founder Stepan Kurkchu with Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Khalimjon Safarov and the regional governor Botir Zaripov.

The project, which is set to be completed by the end of 2027, will have a production capacity of 6,200 tons and create 500 new jobs, contributing 19 billion soums ($1.4 million) in tax revenues to the state budget.

During the meeting, the sides focused on expanding CalCity Industrial Park's investment activities in Uzbekistan. The Bukhara regional administration invited the company to explore new large-scale projects in sectors such as textile manufacturing, construction materials, solar panel production, and free economic zones.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue discussions on potential projects, highlighting the growing attractiveness of Uzbekistan’s investment climate and the expanding role of public-private partnerships in industrial development.
