ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 23. In Kazakhstan, citizens are now granted the right to privatize previously provided rental housing from the state, without the option to buy it back, and recognized as emergency housing, which is the only housing for these citizens, Trend reports via the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Oljas Bektenov has signed the Government Decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments to the Rules for the Privatization of Housing from the State Housing Fund."
Under the existing privatization methods, citizens may acquire
the inhabited housing at its residual value or opt for installment
payments without incurring additional costs.
Recent modifications have decreased the initial payment for the
"installment" option from 30 percent to 10 percent, while extending
the installment period to 15 years for properties with a residual
value above 15 million tenge ($28,500).
To note, the new rules will come into effect 10 calendar days after their first official publication.
