BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Authorities in Tajikistan's capital, Dushanbe, have reviewed plans to ensure reliable electricity and heating supplies for the city's developing Dushanbe City residential complex.

This was stated in a social media post by Rustam Emomali, Chairman of the National Council of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan.

According to the information, the meeting was chaired by Dushanbe Deputy Mayor Mehriddin Tohirzoda and focused on determining the electricity and heating capacity required to support buildings and facilities under construction within the new development.

Officials discussed the technical indicators needed to ensure stable power and heat supplies, as well as the feasibility of connecting new buildings to the city's existing electricity and heating networks.

Particular attention was given to determining the technical capacity of the engineering networks and ensuring that infrastructure is capable of meeting the needs of the growing residential complex.

The discussions highlight the importance of coordinating utility infrastructure with large-scale urban development projects. Reliable electricity and heating capacity will be essential for the operation of residential, commercial and other facilities within Dushanbe City as construction progresses.

"The meeting focused on ensuring a stable supply of electricity and heat, determining the necessary technical capacities and assessing opportunities to connect buildings and facilities under construction to the city's engineering networks," the Dushanbe administration said.

Meanwhile, the meeting reflects the broader challenge of matching the capital's expanding construction activity with the capacity of its utility infrastructure. As new residential and commercial developments come online, ensuring sufficient electricity and heating capacity will be critical to avoiding pressure on existing networks and maintaining reliable services.

Furthermore, the officials reviewed the relevant technical requirements and opportunities for connecting the developing complex to electricity and heating networks, with the discussions aimed at supporting the continued development of Dushanbe City.
