BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Kazakhstan will transfer paper-based business support services to the eGov Business platform by the end of the year, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said at a government meeting.
According to the press service of Kazakh government, Bektenov instructed the Ministry of National Economy, together with the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken”, to complete the reengineering and accelerated digitalization of services provided to businesses.
“Special attention should be paid to digital tools for business. So far, 60% of services supporting entrepreneurs are still provided in paper form. This situation needs to be changed. The Ministry of National Economy, together with the Atameken Chamber, should carry out the reengineering and accelerated digitalization of services by the end of the year, transferring them to eGov Business,” Bektenov said.
The Prime Minister also instructed the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, together with relevant government agencies, to complete the modernization of the permitting and licensing system within six months. “There are also issues with the operation of the ‘Electronic Licensing’ portal. The permitting and licensing system needs to be fully modernized,” Bektenov added.
In addition, the Government discussed the digitalization of services provided by natural monopoly entities and procedures for connecting business facilities to utility infrastructure. “Services provided by natural monopolies are a key factor in implementing investment projects. At the same time, businesses face lengthy procedures for connecting their facilities to utility infrastructure. It is necessary to prevent delays in processing applications for such services and ensure transparency of processes,” the Prime Minister said.
The Ministry of National Economy, together with regional authorities, was instructed to ensure the transition of natural monopoly services to a digital format within two months and guarantee compliance with established deadlines. According to the government, the measures are aimed at improving access to digital services for entrepreneurs and reducing administrative procedures related to government support, licensing and infrastructure connections.
