BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Growth was recorded in Azerbaijan's agricultural sector from January through July 2026.

This is reflected in the report "Macroeconomic indicators of the country's social and economic development for January-July 2026", published by the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.

Thus, in the reporting period, agricultural products worth 8.79 billion manat ($5.2 billion) were manufactured in the country.

According to the report, this figure grew by 2.8% in real terms compared to the same period of 2025.

Overall, for the first 7 months of this year, GDP worth 76.8 billion manat ($45 billion) was produced in Azerbaijan, increasing by 1.4% compared to the same period in 2025.

During the reporting period, the value added in the oil and gas sector of the economy decreased by 0.6% and amounted to 22.9 billion manat ($13.47 billion), while in the non-oil and gas sector it rose by 2.2% and amounted to 53.9 billion manat ($31.7 billion).

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's agricultural sector is a vital pillar of the national economy, engaging over 34% of the workforce, utilizing nine distinct climatic zones, and contributing heavily to food security, rural employment, and economic diversification through widespread crop production and livestock farming.
