BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 30. The exports of non-oil products via the Sistan and Baluchestan province customs located in southeastern Iran increased by 11 percent in value and 13 percent in weight during seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through October 22, 2023), controller of Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province Mohammad Ali Khashi told local media, Trend reports.
He claimed that during the course of the seven months, the Sistan and Baluchestan province customs processed 1.96 million tons of goods worth roughly $180 million.
Khashi observed that the provincial customs primarily handled the export of cement, coal, peas, fruits, and other agricultural products.
According to the official, during the course of seven months, Pakistan received $150 million in product exports, Afghanistan received $13 million, China received $12 million, and India received $3 million.
To note, Iran exported 70 million tons of non-oil products worth $25.8 billion during six months (from March 20 through September 21, 2024). Compared to the same period last year, the export of products increased by 6.5 percent in value and 3.5 percent in weight.
