BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Uzbekistan’s Fergana region is exploring new opportunities for industrial cooperation with Germany, including the development of manufacturing, construction, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and information technology projects.

This was reflected in the statement by the Fergana Regional Administration, following a meeting between Governor Khayrullo Bozorov, Bakhrom Tulaganov, rector of the Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and Abduvakhob Dadamakhammmedov, head of Germany’s ABM Anlagenbau & Maschinentechnik GmbH in Central Asia.

According to the Regional Administration, the meeting focused on expanding interregional cooperation, establishing new partnerships and developing joint initiatives between Fergana and German businesses.

''The parties emphasized that effective cooperation requires identifying specific needs and opportunities, developing proposals that meet modern requirements, and implementing them through clearly defined plans,'' the Regional Administration says, citing the meeting.

Particular attention was given to the experience of ABM Anlagenbau & Maschinentechnik GmbH in supplying industrial enterprises with modern equipment, introducing technological solutions and improving production processes.

Based on the company’s expertise, the sides discussed potential areas for expanded cooperation with German partners, including industrial cooperation in Fergana, mechanical engineering, construction, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, information technology, livestock production and manufacturing.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of transforming potential areas of cooperation into concrete investment and industrial projects.

''Effective cooperation should be based on a thorough assessment of specific needs and opportunities, followed by the development and implementation of practical projects,'' the participants noted.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to identify priority areas for cooperation and continue negotiations aimed at developing them into concrete projects.
