BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Fergana Region of Uzbekistan and Iranian business representatives discussed potential investment projects and opportunities to expand cooperation in industry, infrastructure and logistics.
This was reflected in a statement by the Fergana regional administration, following a meeting between Fergana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov and a delegation of business representatives led by Iranian investor Paularab Mustafa in the Besharyk district.
The sides discussed the implementation of investment projects in Fergana region and Besharyk district, as well as opportunities to expand cooperation across several sectors.
Particular attention was given to industrial development, infrastructure and logistics, with the Iranian delegation reviewing the region’s investment potential, existing opportunities and promising projects.
Iranian entrepreneurs expressed strong interest in Fergana’s investment opportunities and confirmed their readiness to pursue joint investment projects with local partners.
The meeting also focused on identifying areas where Iranian companies could contribute technology, investment and expertise to projects in the region.
“Fergana region has significant potential for expanding cooperation with Iranian businesses, particularly through the implementation of practical investment projects,” the regional administration said.
The sides agreed to continue working on promising projects and strengthen direct contacts between businesses.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation, establishing a framework for further collaboration and the development of joint investment initiatives.
