BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 30. Trade operations between Azerbaijan and Israel totaled approximately $15.7 million from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that this represents a drop of $616.5 million or 40.2 times compared to the same period in 2024.
Azerbaijan's trade turnover with Israel accounted for just 0.13 percent of the country's overall trade volume in the reporting period.
Moreover, the country exported goods worth $12 million to Israel, marking a decrease of $614 million or 52.1 times compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, imports from Israel to Azerbaijan amounted to $3.7 million, reflecting a decline of $2.4 million or 39.9 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
For the entire year of 2024, the total trade volume between Azerbaijan and Israel reached $765.2 million, representing a decline of $678.3 million or 47 percent compared to 2023.
Trade with Israel accounted for just 1.61 percent of Azerbaijan's overall trade turnover in 2024, with Israel ranking 12th among Azerbaijan's largest trading partners.
Azerbaijan's exports to Israel in 2024 amounted to $733.5 million, a sharp drop of $668.1 million or 47.7 percent from the previous year.
Similarly, Azerbaijani imports from Israel in 2024 were valued at $31.7 million, down $10.2 million or 24.4 percent compared to 2023.
Furthermore, Israel remained the 6th largest buyer of oil from Azerbaijan.
In 2024, Azerbaijan exported 1.2 million tons of crude oil and oil products to Israel, valued at $713.3 million. This marks a significant decrease of $681 million or 48.8 percent in value, and 1.1 million tons or 48.3 percent in volume compared to the previous year.
