ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 22. The press conference with participation of Vice-Minister of Agriculture Yermek Kenzhekhanuly took place today in the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Trend reports via the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
During the event, the speaker informed the public about measures
to attract investments into the agricultural-industrial complex and
the implementation of large projects.
According to the Deputy Minister, in the first four months of 2025,
the volume of investments in fixed capital amounted to 213 billion
tenge (approximately $426 million), which is 18 percent higher than
the same period last year (180.6 billion tenge, approximately
$361.2 million).
This includes: agriculture and fisheries — 164.2 billion tenge
(approximately $328.4 million, a 15 percent increase); food
processing — 48.7 billion tenge (approximately $97.4 million, a 29
percent increase).
"The Ministry, together with the regions, has developed a Roadmap
for investment projects in the AIC for 2025–2027. A total of 677
projects are planned, totaling 3.3 trillion tenge (approximately
$6.6 billion), including: 282 projects in 2025 for a total of 611.2
billion tenge (approximately $1.2 billion); 267 projects in 2026
for a total of 1.1 trillion tenge (approximately $2.2 billion); and
128 projects in 2027 for a total of 1.5 trillion tenge
(approximately $3 billion)," said the Ministry of Agriculture of
Kazakhstan.
Moreover, the largest investment areas are processing (1.478
trillion tenge, approximately $2.96 billion), irrigation projects
(216 billion tenge, approximately $432 million), and livestock
(194.6 billion tenge, approximately $389.2 million).
The Deputy Minister also reported that under the program
“Replication of the North Kazakhstan Experience” with subsidized
financing at 2.5 percent per annum, 69 dairy farms were financed in
2023 for a total of 100 billion tenge (approximately $200 million),
and 96 projects in 2024. In the current year, financing is planned
for 141 projects totaling 200 billion tenge (approximately $400
million), of which 71 projects already have design and expert
opinions.
