The volume of gas, daily supplied to the population and other consumers of Azerbaijan, amounted to 6.44 million cubic meters as of August 11, 2014, versus seven million cubic meters as of June 24, Azerigas Production Association (PA) of Azerbaijan's State Oil Company (SOCAR) told Trend.
Azerigas is engaged in the distribution and sale of natural gas to consumers in Azerbaijan.
The daily volume of gas consumption amounted to nearly 4.3 million cubic meters in Baku as of Aug.11, while around 2.16 million cubic meters of gas was consumed in the country's regions, the production association said.
"Gas is delivered to the population in accordance with the demand," Azerigas stressed.
The decrease in gas consumption is related to the spring-summer season.
The number of subscribers of Azerbaijan's gas operator exceeded 1.7 million as of August 1, 2014.
