BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. JPMorganChase said it has financed and facilitated more than $230 billion over the first year of its Security and Resiliency Initiative (SRI).

According to the company, it has also deployed $5 billion in equity investments through its Strategic Investment Group.

The initiative was launched in October 2025 with a $1.5 trillion target. The $230 billion covers transactions across five focus areas: supply chain and advanced manufacturing; defense and aerospace; energy independence and resilience; frontier and strategic technologies; and pharma and healthtech. The Strategic Investment Group has committed $5 billion of the initial $10 billion allocated to SRI direct equity investments.

According to Trend’s calculations, the $230 billion equals 15.3% of the $1.5 trillion target. The initiative was framed as a 10-year plan, so the first year represents 10% of the time frame. A straight-line pace would be $150 billion a year; the first-year figure is about 1.5 times that level. Reaching the full target requires a further $1.27 trillion. Spread evenly over the remaining nine years, that would average about $141 billion a year, roughly 39% below the first-year pace. On a monthly basis, the $230 billion equates to about $19 billion.

The $5 billion in equity commitments represents 50% of the initial $10 billion equity allocation and about 2.2% of the overall $230 billion. Nearly one-third of SRI-related activity over the past year took place outside the United States. If that share applied directly to the $230 billion total, the non-U.S. portion would be a little under $77 billion, though the bank has not specified the exact split.

JPMorganChase said it has built a team of more than 35 SRI professionals, including 13 managing directors, who account for 37% of the dedicated team. SRI expanded to Europe and Canada this year. The bank has mapped seven critical value chains since last October. In April, it convened 120 leaders at its first Defense Action Forum, and in July it announced $24 million for Philadelphia’s shipbuilding and maritime manufacturing ecosystem.

"Strong economies and national security don’t happen by accident," said CEO Jamie Dimon.
