BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. Azerbaijan exported 126,150 tons of cotton worth $203.2 million abroad from January through November 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the country's State Customs Committee shows that the export value grew by $52.14 million (34.5 percent) and the volume by 50,941 tons (67.7 percent) compared to the same period last year.
The cotton exports made up 0.83 percent of the country's total exports.
During the past 11 months, Azerbaijan imported cotton worth $9.69 million, a $1.94 million (27.3 percent) increase from the same period last year.
The cotton imports accounted for 0.05 percent of the country's total imports.
To note, Azerbaijan exported 113,980 tons of cotton fiber worth $169.9 million and 10,918 tons of cotton yarn valued at $26.99 million.
