BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3. Kazakhstan Electricity and Power Market Operator (KOREM) has launched a new digital portal designed to provide market participants, government agencies and experts with access to analytical data and interactive statistics on the country’s electricity market.
This is reflected in the statement published by the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.
The new online resource includes the KOREM Information Portal, a digital analytical platform that combines market statistics, monitoring tools and data visualization capabilities related to the company’s operations. The launch is part of KOREM’s Development Strategy for 2025–2035, which focuses on introducing innovative solutions, digitalizing processes and improving interaction with electricity market participants.
"KOREM’s new information portal provides users with access to interactive analytics and statistical data, allowing them to monitor key market indicators and better assess ongoing trends," the company said.
One of the main features of the platform is an analytical dashboard for centralized electricity trading, which allows users to review trading results from July 1, 2023. The dashboard enables analysis of supply and demand dynamics, transaction volumes, changes in weighted average prices, market activity and comparisons across different time periods. It also provides data on imbalance electricity trading, including types and costs of imbalances, balancing zones, operations with neighboring countries and hourly volumes of balancing electricity.
The new resource also includes an artificial intelligence-based chatbot designed to help users quickly find relevant information and navigate the platform’s digital services. KOREM plans to further expand the portal’s analytical capabilities through the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies. According to the company, AI solutions will help improve data processing, identify market trends and increase the efficiency of users’ work with analytical information. KOREM is responsible for organizing and operating Kazakhstan’s electricity and capacity markets, including centralized electricity trading and balancing mechanisms.
