BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3. Uzbekistan's exports totaled $12.6 billion in January–May 2026, with services remaining the country's largest export category.

The figures were reflected in the report released by Uzbekistan's National Statistics Committee.

According to the committee, services accounted for the largest share of exports at $4.6 billion, representing a 34.9 percent increase compared with the same period last year.

Exports of industrial goods reached $1.9 billion, up 18 percent year on year, while shipments of miscellaneous manufactured articles nearly doubled to $1.1 billion, posting the fastest growth among the major export categories at 99.7 percent.

Exports of chemicals and related products totalled $1 billion, marking a 37.6 percent increase. Meanwhile, food and live animals generated a further $1 billion, marking a 9.1 percent increase.

Exports of mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials increased 10.1 percent to $660.7 million, while machinery and transport equipment climbed 38.2 percent to $536 million.

Meanwhile, exports of crude materials, inedible except fuels reached $131.4 million, up 17.1 percent, while beverages and tobacco increased 41.3 percent to $106.9 million. Exports of animal and vegetable oils, fats and waxes rose 90.1 percent to $50.9 million.

The category of other goods totaled $1.5 billion, representing a 76.4 percent decline compared with the same period last year.

According to Trend's analysis, Uzbekistan's export structure continues to shift toward higher-value goods and services. Services accounted for approximately 36.5 percent of total exports, remaining the country's largest export segment, while exports of miscellaneous manufactured goods almost doubled and machinery and transport equipmentexpanded by 38.2 percent, pointing to continued diversification beyond traditional commodity exports. At the same time, the sharp 76.4 percent decline in the "other goods" category suggests a changing composition of exports, making manufactured products, chemicals and services increasingly important drivers of the country's external trade performance.
