BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Search and rescue operations have been completed under the rubble of a building that collapsed during an earthquake in the Sindirgi district of Balikesir province in Türkiye. The life of one of the four people pulled from the rubble could not be saved, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said, Trend reports.

Ali Yerlikaya, who issued a statement on the situation after the earthquake, said that 16 buildings were destroyed in the region, of which only four were residential, and 29 victims are currently undergoing treatment in hospitals.

The minister said an investigation to determine the damage in the region would begin early in the morning.
