ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 7. Today, the Akim (Governor) of the Abai Region of Kazakhstan, Berik Uali, met with a delegation led by the CEO of the Chinese corporation "Xinjiang Huayuan Holding Group Co. Ltd," Trend reports via the regional administration's press service.
During the meeting, issues related to strengthening bilateral investment cooperation, implementing joint projects, developing new production sites, and forging partnerships for smart city projects were discussed.
The regional authority articulated that throughout the
operational excursion of the Abai delegation to the Xinjiang Uygur
Autonomous Region, productive dialogues were conducted, culminating
in the execution of memorandums.
"During this engagement, the Abai delegation conducted a site visit
to your organization in Urumqi, where they engaged in a
comprehensive overview of the operational workflows and current
initiatives." At present, strategic initiatives are being
implemented in collaboration with stakeholders to optimize the
economic viability of the region. "We aim to augment the 'Өндіріc'
(Production) industrial zone within the Semey municipality to
encompass 600 hectares," noted the regional Akim.
The Chief Executive Officer of the corporation, Li Jun, articulated
a readiness to engage in synergistic collaboration with the Abai
region across these domains.
"Our delegation engaged in a comprehensive review of the blueprint
for an innovative residential enclave slated for development in the
urban landscape of Semey." Upon our repatriation from the People's
Republic of China, we will convene a specialized task force to
delineate and advocate for targeted initiatives. "Upon the
rectification of the infrastructural impediments, we stand poised
to initiate operations," he stressed.
The Akim of the region underscored that the infrastructural
challenges pertaining to the new district will be mitigated
expeditiously, ensuring a seamless initiation of construction
activities without impediments.
"You visited the area for the new administrative and business center to be built in Semey yesterday. A long-term concept is being developed, and a technical and economic justification for the new administrative and business area of 1000 hectares is underway. The city of Semei needs a multifunctional, modern hotel. The new district requires a new boiler station and multi-story residential buildings. We invite you to participate in the 'Smart City' project as a partner and jointly build the new city. Your corporation has vast experience in modern housing construction and heating supply. Therefore, we expect specific proposals," said Uali.
