BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. Azerbaijan increased production of marketable gas last year.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee shows that this figure reached 38.7 billion cubic meters (bcm), up 2.3 bcm (6.2 percent) from 2023 (36.4 bcm).
The natural gas production amounted to 50.6 bcm, which is 2.1 bcm (4.3 percent) more than the previous year (48.5 bcm).
To note, "marketable" refers to the process by which a product that was not initially intended for commercial purposes is transformed into a commodity or service according to market rules.
