Uzbekistan increased the production of crude ethyl alcohol by 7.9 percent between January and June of 2013 in comparison with the same period last year- to 3.091 million dal, the source in Uzbekistan's governmental circles told Trend.
According to an agency interlocutor, the production of vodka and other liquor products in Uzbekistan increased by 5.4 percent- to 6.287 million dal, wine production- by 0.7 percent (to 1,150 dal ), champagne production- by 3.3 percent (to 37,600 dal ), cognac production- by 5.4 percent (to 59,600 dal).
Beer production decreased by 0.3 percent to 4.674 million dal in Uzbekistan in the first half of the year.
According to official statistics, Uzbekistan increased crude ethyl alcohol production by 10.7 percent in 2012, compared to 6.038 million dal in 2011, vodka and liquor products production- by 7.3 percent ( to 12.534 million dal ), cognac production- by 11.4 percent ( to 106,800 dal), grape wine production- by 10.5 percent ( to 2.342 million dal), champagne production- by 5.7 percent ( to 127,500 dal). Beer production in Uzbekistan decreased by 20.6 percent and was estimated at 18.44 million dal last year.
