President Hassan Rouhani has expressed hope for witnessing economic growth in the country in the New Year through "constructive interaction with the world and domestic efforts".
"We may claim that Iran had the best situation among the oil exporting countries over the past year in regards to the situation of the country's exchange market, security and bringing down the inflation," president's official website quoted him as saying on the occasion of the new Iranian year (starting 20 March).
He further expressed his hope that the country would witness an economic growth of five percent in the New Year.
President Rouhani described his economic reform plans as a second joint comprehensive plan of action (referring to JCPOA or nuclear deal agreed between Iran and the world powers) and called on the nation and officials to join efforts to resolve the country's economic problems in the new Iranian year.
He also pledged that with the economic growth of five percent the unemployment problem will be resolved in the country.
