TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 11. As of April 1, 2025, the count of electric vehicles in Uzbekistan has hit the ground running at a whopping 65,200.
Data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan's Committee on Statistics shows that the lion's share of electric vehicles is parked in the capital—Tashkent city, boasting a whopping 49,736 units on the books. This adds up to over 76 percent of the total electric vehicles registered across the country.
Tashkent Region ranks second with 4,512 electric vehicles registered. Following are the Samarkand Region with 1,739 units, the Khorezm Region with 1,415, the Fergana Region with 1,376, and the Kashkadarya Region with 1,338.
In the Bukhara Region, the count of electric vehicles stands at 1,133; in the Navoi Region, they have 901; the Andijan Region follows closely with 878; the Namangan Region boasts 700; the Republic of Karakalpakstan has 525; the Syrdarya Region comes in with 404; the Jizzakh Region tallies up to 302; and the Surkhandarya Region wraps it up with 198.
In the interim, Uzbekistan facilitated the procurement of approximately 10,000 electric vehicles within the initial quintet of months in 2025, indicating a paradigm shift towards sustainable mobility solutions.
