ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 11. The National Bank of Kazakhstan has published a resolution amending the Rules on cash foreign currency exchange operations, Trend reports.
According to the document, information on exchange rates should be placed inside or directly near the cashier's window of an exchange bureau.
Moreover, it is not permitted to place the specified information stand outside the premises of the exchange office, including on roofs and external sides of buildings or structures, whether stationary, mobile, or removable stands.
This information stand must also be visually inaccessible from open spaces outside the exchange office premises.
An exception is made only if the exchange office is not located in multifunctional buildings and structures (including business centers), in railway station buildings, casinos, inside international airport terminals, or on the territory of automobile, sea, and river border checkpoints.
The resolution also states that each exchange office must display a copy of its license for cash foreign currency exchange operations in Kazakh and Russian in a place accessible and visible to clients.
The resolution will come into force on September 9, 2025.
