BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 26. Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a press conference on the results of the year, Trend reports.
At the press conference, the foreign minister answered questions from media representatives.
The minister noted that, first and foremost, Azerbaijan continues to successfully pursue its independent and pragmatic foreign policy, protecting national interests, strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanisms, and enhancing its international reputation.
He noted that 2025 marked the 5th anniversary of Azerbaijan's victory and restoration of territorial integrity, and that this year, historic opportunities were used to establish stable peace in the region. At the summit in Washington, the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia initialed a draft joint declaration and peace agreement, and an agreement was reached on the TRIPP project, which will ensure unhindered communication between Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan.
Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan actively participated in multilateral cooperation, diplomatic mediation, and international economic, climate, and humanitarian activities. In 2025, within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Economic Cooperation Organization, and the D-8, important events were held, strategic centers were established, and important results were achieved for regional peace, security, and prosperity.
He also touched upon bilateral relations with foreign countries and other issues.
