A small enterprise will be established in another Azerbaijani district within the project which is implemented in the country with financial support from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), head of the Azerbaijani Women Entrepreneurs Association Sakina Babayeva told Trend.
“The enterprise will open in Azerbijan’s Oguz district,” Babayeva added.
"A women's tailoring shop is planned to be opened,” head of the association added. “Similar small enterprises are planned to be opened in 10 Azerbaijani districts within this project. A new enterprise is planned to be opened in April 2020. The project is worth 120,000 manat ($70,588).”
“The project is funded by the association and SECO on an equal footing,” Babayeva added. “More than 20 jobs will be created as a result of opening a new enterprise. Similar enterprises have already been opened in Tovuz and Imishli districts."
According to the statistics, over 143,000 women are involved in business activities in Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani Association of Women Entrepreneurs was established in October 2017 through the support of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs.
