BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. Eurotec Group LLC, a firm with Turkish capital, has been awarded resident status in the Azerbaijani Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park, which is supervised by the Economic Zones Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy, a source in the ministry told Trend.
This bumps the total number of residents at the industrial park up to 42.
The new resident intends to construct a facility on two hectares of the industrial park for the production of metal barrels, with an annual capacity of 200,000 units. The venture, with an investment of nine million manat ($5.29 million), will generate 120 permanent jobs.
The plant's products, utilizing modern Belgian technology, are intended for both domestic sale and export.
