ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 12. The creative hub “ÓzgeEpic” opened in Kazakhstan's Uralsk, which provides conditions for the implementation of innovative projects and creative initiatives, Trend reports via the akimat of West Kazakhstan region.
The initiative to establish creative hubs began in 2019 in
Almaty, followed by similar spaces in Astana and Turkestan. Now,
the West Kazakhstan region has its hub.
"The development of the creative industry is a key priority in
state policy and remains a focal point for the President. We hope
that the ÓzgeEpic Uralsk center will provide a new platform for
young talent and become a source of inspiration," said Nariman
Turegaliyev, Akim of the West Kazakhstan region.
ÓzgeEpic Uralsk is designed as an ecosystem with a variety of
facilities, including a concert hall, theater, cinema, library,
exhibition spaces, lecture halls, coworking areas, photo studios,
and podcast recording rooms. Notably, the region's first
professional animation studio has also been established to train
specialists in animation.
Founders of the ÓzgeEpic hub, Makpal Zhumabay and Togzhan
Kurmanzhankyz, emphasized that it's crucial to consider the unique
cultural and social features of each region when creating such
spaces.
"The creative space we have opened in Uralsk is more than just a
venue for creative youth. We are confident that it will become a
key center for intellectual development in the region, equalizing
opportunities with the capital, and highlighting the crucial role
of regions in Kazakhstan's creative industry," they stated.
The hub will also serve as an educational platform, with plans to
train over 200 specialists in creative professions as part of the
project.
Earlier, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed
the opening of creative industrial hubs in every regional center to
attract talented youth.
