BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 1. Trade operations between Azerbaijan and the US totaled $133.7 million from January through March 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee shows that this figure dropped by $31 million (18.8 percent) compared to the same period in 2024.
Azerbaijan's trade turnover with the US accounted for 1.11 percent of the country's overall trade volume in the reporting period.
Moreover, the country exported goods worth $15.7 million to the US, marking a growth of $3.4 million (27.3 percent) compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's imports from the US amounted to $118 million, reflecting a year-on-year decline of $34.4 million (22.6 percent).
In addition, during the first three months of this year, Azerbaijan exported non-oil products worth $15.7 million to the US, which is $149 million (10.5 times) less than in the same period in 2024.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover grew by over 24.3 percent, reaching a total of $12 billion from January through March 2025.
Exports rose by 6.7 percent, or $401.75 million, totaling $6.4 billion, while imports increased by 52.6 percent, or $1.9 billion, amounting to $5.7 billion.
Meanwhile, the foreign trade balance showed a positive surplus of $722.9 million during the reporting period, which is $5.1 billion, or 3.1 times less than the same period last year.
