BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8. Azerbaijan’s oil production is expected to reach 0.54 million barrels per day (mb/d) in 2026, according to the latest forecast from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), Trend reports.
The EIA has kept its outlook for Azerbaijan's crude output unchanged from its previous forecast.
According to the projections, production in 2026 is forecast to start at 0.55 mb/d in the first quarter, decrease to 0.54 mb/d in the second quarter, and then edge down to 0.53 mb/d in the third and fourth quarters.
For 2025, the EIA now expects average daily output to be 0.57 mb/d. Production is estimated to have stood at 0.57 mb/d in both the first and second quarters, with a slight dip to 0.56 mb/d anticipated in the second half of the year.
Operational data for January through April show that oil and condensate production totaled 9.1 million tons, while exports reached 7.8 million tons. Over the same period, 16.7 billion cubic meters of gas were produced, with 8 billion cubic meters exported.
