BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 6. A total of 754,000 tons of goods worth approximately $429 million were exported to Iraq through the Mehran customs office in the western Iranian province of Ilam during the last four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2025), the Director General of the Ilam Province Customs Administration Sohrab Kamari told local media, Trend reports.
According to him, an average of 400 trucks carrying Iranian products pass through the Mehran customs office to Iraq every day.
Kamari noted that 30,200 tons of products were transported through the Mehran customs office during the last four months.
Transit increased by 2 percent compared to the same period last year (from March 20 through July 21, 2024).
The report from Iran's Customs Administration shows that exports of non-oil goods from Iran over four months totaled 48.8 million tons, worth $16.5 billion. Compared to the same period last year, exports of non-oil goods dropped by 5.51 percent in value and 1.46 percent in weight.
