Azerbaijani insurance company Alfa Sığorta JSC has abandoned plans to change its name, head of the Alfa Sıgorta board of directors Elshad Aliyev told Trend on Jan.7.
In October 2012, the founder of Texnikabank JSC changed its name to Bank Technique JSC. Alfa Sığorta intended to follow the example of its owner. However, according to Aliyev, plans were limited to restyling.
"We came to the conclusion that Alfa Sığorta has not had a bad reputation and decided to just change the company's corporate style such as the logo, colour and so on," Aliyev said.
Alfa Sigorta is a subsidiary of Bank Technique JSC and was established in 1997. It is one of the oldest companies operating the insurance sector of Azerbaijan.
