The counter services had one of the leading places in foreign economic relations of Azerbaijan in 2015. Their total turnover amounted to $13.1 billion, which is 10.9 percent less than in 2014.
The services worth $8.7 billion were rendered to Azerbaijani residents by non-residents, the balance of payments published on the website of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) said March 30.
During this period, Azerbaijani residents rendered the services totaling $4.4 billion to the residents of foreign countries.
Some 19.3 percent accounted for the transportation services in the balance of counter services.
The turnover of transport services totaled $2.5 billion, which is 19.05 percent more than in 2014.
For comparison, the turnover of transport services amounted to $2.1 billion and its share in the balance of counter services - 14.3 percent in 2014.
The non-residents spent some 60.1 percent of these funds by using the transport systems of Azerbaijan. The cost of transport services rendered to Azerbaijani residents by non-residents amounted to $1.01 billion.
