Turkmenistan has reduced the coefficients of the tariff rates for railway transit transportation, the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan said in a statement.
The ministry has announced the following reduction coefficients for the current rates for a period until Sept. 30, 2018 (inclusive):
1) the reduction coefficient of 0.5 - in case of transportation of alumina (Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (NHM) 2818) in railcars through transit railway sections Turkmenbashi-Crossing 161, Turkmenbashi-Farap, Sarakhs-Crossing 161;
2) the reduction coefficient of 0.5 - in case of transportation of aluminium (NHM 7601) in railcars through transit railway sections Crossing 161-Turkmenbashi-Farap-Turkmenbashi, Crossing 161-Sarakhs;
3) the reduction coefficient of 0.7 - in case of transportation of all types of cargoes in all types of rolling stock and in case of transportation of loaded and empty containers (universal and specialized) through the transit railway sections Serhetyaka-Akala, Serhetyaka-Sarakhs;
4) the reduction coefficient of 0.5 – in case of transportation of the following cargoes through the transit railway sections Serhetyaka-Akala and the reduction coefficient of 0.6 – for transportation of the same cargo through the transit railway sections Serhetyaka-Sarakhs (the coefficient of 0.7 does not apply): transportation from the Russian Federation to Iran and transit through Iran of ferrous metals (NHM 7208-7215, 7225), grain cargo (NHM 1001,1003), oil seeds (NHM 1204-1207), fertilizers (NHM 3102-3105), wood (NHM 4403-4404,4407-4413), coal (NHM 2701, 1210), vegetable oils (NHM 1507, 1512, 1515,1516, 1518); transportation from Kazakhstan to Iran of ferrous metals (NHM 7208-7215, 7225), aluminum (NHM 7601), asbestos (NHM 2524), flour (NHM 1101), vegetable oils (NHM 1507, 1512, 1515,1516, 1518); transportation from Kazakhstan to other countries by transit through Iran of grain cargoes (NHM 1001,1003), aluminum (NHM 7601), asbestos (NHM 2524), fertilizers (NHM 3102-3105);
5) the reduction coefficient of 0.8 – in case of transportation of all types of cargoes from Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, European countries and China through the transit railway section Serhetyaka-Imamnazar.
