Annual international investment forum "Development of a Market Economy: Prospects and Problems" was held by Business Information Agency (BIA) in Tbilisi on June 20, Trend reports with reference to commersant.ge.
The forum, which was opened by president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia Michael Koggli, was attended by representatives of governmental agencies, diplomatic missions, national and foreign companies, owners of investment projects and investors from by 15 countries.
The main issues discussed at the forum included the regional economy of the post-Soviet countries, investment opportunities, asset management and accumulated investments, prospects for investments in private and venture capital and leasing opportunities for emerging markets. During the event, bilateral meetings were also held.
The annual international forum BIA is held in Georgia for the fourth time. It aims to discuss and critically examine all major aspects of the local economy, to identify steps for accelerating the pace of economic development , and present state and private investment projects to be implemented in Georgia.
