The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported over 1.05 million tons of oil products from its own refineries in January-August 2013 compared to over 753,000 tons in January-August 2012, SOCAR said on Monday.
SOCAR exported over 1.24 million tons of oil products from its own refineries in 2012 compared to about 1.45 million tons in 2011.
Petroleum products in Azerbaijan are made on the basis of two Baku refineries with total capacity of 16 million tons a year. Both refineries are part of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, which annually processes approximately seven million tons of oil from onshore and offshore fields at their own expense.
