The Trans-Anatolian pipeline (TANAP) project within the simplified oil and gas taxation system in Turkey will receive tax benefits, Sabah newspaper reported today.
According to the newspaper, the value added tax (VAT) on the purchase of building materials for the oil companies will be cancelled in the country.
TANAP plans to transport gas from the Shah Deniz field to Europe via Turkey. The initial capacity of the pipeline is expected to reach 16 billion cubic meters per year. About six billion cubic meters will be supplied to Turkey and the rest delivered to Europe.
