Commercial production of natural gas and gas condensate from a drilled well up to 3,050 meters deep has begun at the Shurtan gas condensate field in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekneftegaz JSC press service.
A filter was installed in the interval of 3,050-2,863 meters on well No. 329 of the Shurtan field of the Shurtan oil and gas production department of Uzbekneftegaz JSC after completion of drilling.
According to operational data, after the well was completed, an industrial gas inflow was obtained with a daily flow rate of 80,000 cubic meters and two tons of gas condensate.
Currently, the work is underway to equip the well and connect it to a gas collector.
Also, the working group headed by the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Mehriddin Abdullayev is studying the current state of production and processing enterprises, fields, and wells located in the Kashkadarya region.
Initially, at the headquarters of the Shurtan field of the Shurtan oil and gas production department located in the Guzar region, a meeting was held with the person in charge of natural gas production, the head of the field, the operator, and geologists.
The Chairman of the Board and members of the working group got acquainted with the construction and installation works carried out at the final stage of the investment project for up to $49 million on the modernization of the propane-butane mixture production unit 1, 2, and 5, which provides for the production of additional 61,000 tons of liquefied gas per year.
Within the framework of the project, in order to increase the pressure of the feed gas supplied to the propane-butane mixture separation devices, the operation of a new gas-pumping unit, three filter-separators for cleaning the gas entering the gas-pumping unit from mechanical impurities was studied.
Taking all measures to ensure high-quality and flawless implementation of the investment project, tasks have been set to implement the planned activities in accordance with modern construction standards in compliance with safety and quarantine rules.
