BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 23. Azerbaijan’s 2026 state budget foresees a total allocation of 549.5 million manat ($323.2 million) for international relations, foreign aid, and the operation of the country’s diplomatic and trade missions abroad.
Data obtained by Trend from the relevant draft law indicates that this marks a slight increase of 14.2 million manat ($8.35 million), or 2.7 percent, compared to 2025.
According to the draft budget, 215 million manat ($126.4 million) will cover the maintenance of diplomatic missions and consulates, up 10 million manat ($5.8 million), or 4.9 percent, from last year. Additional allocations include 23.5 million manat ($13.8 million) for membership fees in international and regional organizations, 38 million manat ($22.3 million) for participation in the capital of international and regional financial institutions, 7 million manat ($4.1 million) for international activities and related events, 239 million manat ($140.5 million) for organizing international-level events, 19 million manat ($11.1 million) for foreign aid, and 8 million manat ($4.7 million) for supporting Azerbaijan’s trade representatives abroad.
