Iran's Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi said the country plans to enhance its cooperation with its northern neighbors in the sector of communications and technology in order to gain a stronger foothold in the region.
“For having a more active presence in the region, we are after closer cooperation with our northern neighbors in the field of communications and technology,” Azari Jahromi, who is in Ashgabat to attend “TurkmenTEL 2018”, said, IRNA reported on October 10.

Telemetry, Information Technologies and Broadcasting Equipment - “TurkmenTEL 2018” is underway in the capital city of Turkmenistan.
The two-day event kicked off in Ashgabat on October 10.
Iran is ready to boost its all-out cooperation with members of Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications (RCC) in different areas, including ICT, electronic transactions, and digital economy, he added.
