A vehicle temporarily imported to the territory of Turkmenistan must be immediately taken back after the completion of the transport operation, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal information portal.
Depending on the vehicle, the term of staying in Turkmenistan changes, the report says.
Thus, vehicles (including trailers, semi-trailers, and hybrid vehicles), with the exception of containers, must leave the country within 30 calendar days, railway transport (unit of composition), with the exception of containers - 90 calendar days, and containers transported by any type of transport-90 calendar days.
Meanwhile, for sea and aircraft, the time limit is determined in accordance with the procedure agreed by the customs service and the administration of the state border crossing point of Turkmenistan.
If the deadline has expired and the vehicle has not been taken back, the deadline can be extended based on the application of the vehicle owner, the report notes.
