Uzbekistan notes growth in volume of exports in 7M2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 29. Uzbekistan's volume of exports and services amounted to $10.5 billion (excluding non-monetary gold) from January through July 2024, Trend reports.

As per data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure has increased by 12.9 percent compared to the same period in 2023 ($9.3 billion in January–July 2023).

In the structure of exports, goods account for 74.9 percent, out of which other goods account for 28.6 percent, manufactured goods for 16.8 percent, food products and live animals for 7.3 percent, and chemicals and similar products for 6.3 percent.

Services accounted for 25.1 percent during this period. In the composition of exports of services, the largest share falls on tourism (47.1 percent), transportation services (37.8 percent), ICT services (8.1 percent), and other business services (2.9 percent).

The main export partners of goods and services in the foreign trade turnover were Russia ($2.1 billion), China ($1.1 billion), Kazakhstan ($735.4 million), and Türkiye ($680 million) from January through July 2024.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover volume amounted to $36.8 billion from January through July 2024. This figure has increased by 5.4 percent year-on-year ($34.9 billion in January-July 2023).

Uzbekistan's exports reached $14.7 billion from January through July 2024, while imports amounted to $22 billion.
